THE SILENT Disco in the Róisín Dubh takes a new twist with a themed night this Saturday of ‘Funk’n’Soul v Rock’n’Roll’.

The fun starts at 11.30pm with DJs Gugai and Graham Dolan going head to head. Pick up your headphones on the way in and switch between the two DJs to see who is playing the songs you most want to dance to. If you need a break, take the headphones off and marvel at the bizarre spectacle of a room full of people dancing and singing different songs, even though no music is to be heard.

Lucia Evans’ vocal studio concert

VOCAL STUDENTS of Galway soul singer Lucia Evans will perform in the Salthill Hotel this Sunday at 6.30pm.

The 22 students will perform live on stage, backed by live seven piece band. The concert will also be an opportunity for anyone who is interested in taking voice lessons at the studio to speak to Lucia and find out more about the studio.
