TV DIRECTOR Anne McCabe and actor/director Sarah O’Toole are coming to the Galway Film Centre this month to host a series of actors’ workshops.
This workshop is aimed at those who are serious about acting for TV/film, and who have done some acting on stage or on camera before, and will look at acting from a directors’ and an actors’ perspective.
Each participant will get the opportunity to act for the camera and performances will be recorded, reviewed, and discussed in class.
Anne McCabe has worked with Brendan Gleeson, Gabriel Byrne, and Maria Doyle-Kennedy, and directed a wide range of TV dramas and movies. Sarah has trained in Moscow in the Stanislavski and Michael Chekhov techniques and worked in Dublin, Glasgow and London. She also lectures in NUI, Galway.
The course takes place at Galway Film Centre, in Cluain Mhuire, near the Eye Cinema on January 22 and 27 and February 3, 10, and 17. Early booking is advised as class places are limited.
