JACK BLACK turned an entire classroom onto rock music in the brilliant comedy film School of Rock and Adventures in Music is looking to do the same.
Adventures in Music will host its School of Rock concert for children and their families in the St Patrick’s Bandhall this Sunday.
Rick Harris (guitar ), Eugene Kelly (guitar ), Cha Taylor (bass/ vocals ) and Cormac Dunne of The Stunning (drums ) will perform songs like Steve Earle’s ‘Galway Girl’, Carl Perkins’ ‘Blue Suede Shoes’, and Joe Jackson’s ‘Is She Really Going Out With Him?’ as well as rocked up versions of children’s songs.
Doors open at 2pm for concert related colouring and word searches. The performance begins at 2.30pm. Afterwards the audience will have a chance to meet the band and to check out the instruments.
