Calling all children and young people — a new music hub is coming to Wellpark

Thu, Aug 06, 2020

Music Generation Galway City is a new music education service for the City of the Tribes. As part of the national Music Generation network, its aim is to offer all children and young people a chance to participate in music-making. Like Barack Obama’s “leave no child behind" message, Music Generation Galway City is there to help children, regardless of background or means, to enjoy music in their life.

As part of Music Generation Galway City’s Spreagaigí programme, an exciting new after-school music hub is starting in September 2020 in Galway Community College, Wellpark Road. Parents and young people are now invited to register for weekly lessons. The hub will be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting September 15 and 17. Lessons will be given in small groups (maximum three) so making friends and having fun will be as much a part of the experience as learning a new musical instrument or skill.
