Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB ) welcomes applications to the Skills to Advance scheme. This Government funded initiative aims to engage those already in employment to upskill or reskill through further education and training. With many workplaces facing unprecedented challenges through COVID-19, this initiative will support businesses and their teams navigate the challenging and rapidly changing business environment through a skilled and confident workforce.
Educating staff is central to delivering long term sustainable growth for an organisation as well as providing the opportunity to cascade employees’ skills, knowledge, and progression opportunities in addition to earning a recognised qualification.
Courses in customer service in industry, and leadership and management, will soon be made available online and are either fully or partially funded depending on eligibility criteria. These programmes are designed to provide accessible training solutions to fit around the business and busy working lives.
GRETB strongly encourages employers within Galway and Roscommon to take advantage of the opportunity to upskill staff at this critical time. Learning in the workplace has a positive impact on creativity and innovation and helps limit skills shortages.
Companies can benefit from Skills to Advance by accessing high quality accredited training and to improve their workforces’ competencies and confidence. Further details on skillstoadvance.ie or contact GRETB Skills to Advance coordinator, Amanda Percy, on [email protected] or 091 706276.
