New free or ninety per cent subsidised programmes now open

There has never been a better time to invest in yourself by upskilling or reskilling in areas where skills are most needed in the Irish economy by enrolling in one of NUI Galway’s new free or heavily subsidised programmes.

The JE Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUI Galway, in conjunction with the Higher Education Authority (HEA ) and the Human Capital Initiative (HCI ) Pillar 1 through Springboard+, is offering incentivised places for graduates to enhance their skills in areas of skills shortage and emerging technologies such as financial analysis, digital transformation, and business information systems. The HCI Pillar 1 funding will provide funding for graduate conversion courses at Level 8 Higher Diploma and Level 9 Postgraduate Diploma on the National Qualifications Framework.

These full-time industry-focused courses have been developed to address the needs of learners in a changing world, where advances in technology has been astounding. This is an excellent opportunity to specialise and obtain qualifications in areas where there are current and future skills shortages. Applications for autumn programmes are now open on the Springboard+ website.

These exciting new programmes are fully funded (100 per cent free ) for jobseekers and returners (people receiving the various accepted social welfare payments and homemakers ) looking for new opportunities in the ever-changing job market. They also provide those in employment and recent graduates the opportunity to develop their skills in emerging fields and are 90 per cent subsidised.
