GALWEGIANS WHO think they have star potential are being sought for The M Factor talent competition 2011 at Bar Beoga in the Menlo Park Hotel.

Registration will be held in the hotel on Tuesday September 27 from 6pm to 8pm and this will be followed by the open auditions on Sunday October 2 and Monday 3 from 7pm to 10pm. The heats will be held in Bar Beoga on Fridays in November and December.

CELTIC FLAMES, a group of 10 musicians and singers who perform a blend of trad, folk, jazz, blues, rock, and reggae are impressing audiences at their Cellar Bar residency.

The band play The Cellar Bar on Eglinton Street every Sunday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm when they perform songs by Imelda May, Christy Moore, James Taylor, Rory Gallagher, the Eagles, Dixie Chicks, and Old Crow Medicine Show, as well as taking requests.
