Seven new or enhanced bus routes in Galway, serving towns including Headford, Corrandulla, Clifden and Carraroe, have been included in the Government's strategy to improve rural mobility.
The Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, announced by the Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan, will also add or improve links between Galway city and locations, such as Ennis and Mountbellew, according to local Fine Gael TD, Minister Hildegarde Naughton.

An interfaith memorial service will take place at 7pm on Thursday next (March 2) at the Ardilaun Hotel. The annual event is being organised by Galway University Hospitals' (UHG and Merlin Park University Hospital) end of life care committee.
Anne McKeown, the end of life care co-ordinator at GUH, says the aim of the service is to provide a spiritual space and a supportive and empathetic environment for grieving families. It is also an opportunity to meet other people and hospital staff who have shared this journey.
