Road resurfacing works welcomed - Hoare
Fine Gael Councillor Eddie Hoare has welcomed road resurfacing works completed on Circular Road and Ballagh Road last week. He expects further resurfacing in the coming weeks.
“We had a very cold spell of weather last December and a number of local roads are in very poor condition with potholes and cracks appearing,” he said.
“I have allocated some of my own local area funding for resurfacing works on Circular Road, Ballagh Roads, Letteragh Road and Mincloon. The Council’s own budget also needs to be increased to support these works and I’d ask residents to let me know if any further works are required.” Cllr Hoare added.
“Furthermore, we have seen a number of accidents at a number of junctions along the more rural local roads.
“These junctions need to be made safer with additional signage.
“Thousands of local residents and commuters use these roads on a weekly basis,” he concluded.
