Frank McDonagh, 19 Sliabh Rua, Ballybane; James Mongan, Cois na Coille, Ballybane; and Martin Sweeney, 34 Glenbawn Estate, Ballybane, were in Galway District Court on Monday to face charges relating to burglaries in three business premises at the weekend.

Fianna Fáil Galway West TD Frank Fahey is threatening to “name and shame” the insurance companies who he is accusing of adopting a “penny pinching approach” and of “making inadequate responses” to flood victims.
