Music for Galway’s 41st International Concert Season opens with a new initiative, the Galway Encore; the opening concert, scheduled for tonight Thursday September 29 at 8.00 pm at the Emily Anderson Concert Hall in the University of Galway, will also see a repeat performance in Christ Church in Portumna tomorrow, September 30 at the same time.

Galway County Council Arts Office proudly presents Ceol an Fhómhair Tuam as part of the ‘Local Live Performance Programming Scheme’ on Saturday 1st of October at The Palace Grounds, Tuam.
This free event kicks off a 5pm and is headlined by Tracy Bruen and Anna Mullarkey with exciting performances from upcoming artists The Rosecaps and local Tuam band The Restricted as well as solo artists Sarah Brookfield and Jayden Murphy.

A fishing hat sat on his head, a cigarette hung from his lips and he wore a smile on his face. ‘Shake the thumb,’ he told me. This was my first introduction to Martin Naughton.
