Exhibition by Josephine Cribben in Brazco next month

The beautiful work of talented artist Josephine Cribben will be exhibited in both Galway and Mayo over the coming weeks.

The first exhibition will open in Brazco, Oranmore Galway on October 7, while the Mayo event will be held in AL photography in Ballyhaunis on November 12.

Although Josephine is based in Galway, she grew up surrounded by the beautiful countryside of County Mayo.

She draws her inspiration from the joy of colour and her passion for creating ‘outside the box’ designs using mixed mediums and adding fun, playful elements. Her paintings are compositions of colour, light and texture. She is constantly evolving her voice in style and seeking out new and improved techniques.

This is Josephine’s first exhibition and all her paintings are originals on board or canvas.

She embraced lockdown as an opportunity to explore her passion for art more intently and the results are evident in her fun and carefree offerings.

Josephine believes that her parents always encouraged her creativity. Her father was a carpenter and her mother was a talented dressmaker who constantly evoked her imagination with crafts and artistry.

She hopes you get as much pleasure viewing them as she did creating them.
