New disability awareness resource

Thu, Sep 24, 2009

A unique training and awareness resource is being launched in Galway this week, featuring positive images of disabled people and those from other excluded groups. Based on the successful In The Picture exhibitions held earlier this year, two training resource collections can now be borrowed from Ballinasloe or Westside libraries. They contain hand-picked children’s picture books which featured in the In The Picture exhibition, together with display posters, story sacks, games, and substantial information packs with background learning materials. Organisers of workshops, training sessions, parenting courses, seminars, and conferences can avail of the material for a fortnight, free of charge. The resource collections are provided by Play4All with support of Galway County Libraries. For more information visit www.galwaylibrary.ie or contact Ballinasloe library on 090 9643464 or Westside library on 091 520616.
