Witnesses sought after Milltown collision claims life of elderly woman

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving three vehicles, a van and two cars, that occurred shortly after 10am on Tuesday morning on the N17 at Gortnagunned, Milltown, in north Galway.

A female passenger (80s) of one of the cars was fatally injured in the collision. The female driver of the same vehicle was removed from the scene to University Hospital Galway where she is being treated for her injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

New €446,000 Community Climate fund launched in Galway City
