The profits from a social dancing event taking place on March 24 will be donated to the Ella Farrell Cancer Treatment & Recovery Fund.
Ella is a 20-year-old final-year college student at the University of Galway. She lives in Ballinderreen, Co. Galway with her parents, and her two younger sisters, Sophie, and Hannah.
After complaining of headaches since Christmas and visits to the GP and Emergency Room she was given a CT scan on January 29, at this stage, she was reporting nausea and imbalance when walking, within an hour she was told that the CT scan had revealed a large tumour on the base of her brain.
Through the course of her treatment and beyond Ella will require full-time care to help her overcome the effects of this aggressive treatment, both physically and mentally. It will be a long road for Ella with treatment estimated to last over 14 months. Ella is an amazing young woman, so kind and generous and so funny, and any donation is greatly appreciated.
Doors open in Keanes Bar, Oranmore at 5:30 pm. Admission is €10 at the door.
DJ Sam will provide music between 6 and 7 pm. Sinead Black will take to the stage from 7 pm to 9 pm. All support is welcome. A raffle for South Galway Bay Music Festival Tickets will take place on the night
