Council calls on everyone to park and ride

The Galway City Council’s Christmas Park and Ride campaign is in full swing and the local authority is calling on daily commuters, particularly those who work in the city centre, to take full advantage of it.

To encourage workers to leave their cars at Galway Racecourse and park and ride to the city centre, the council is offering an all-day parking fare of just €2 which includes bus travel to the city centre for the car driver and all his/her passengers. Also, a bus will leave every 15 minutes to Galway Coach Station, Fairgreen, every morning from 7.30am to 9.30pm (Monday to Saturday).
