The new electric Nissan Townstar van is coming to the Irish market later this year. It promises a class-leading range of 295 kilometres WLTP combined, or a claimed up to 433 kilometres on the city cycle. This is possible due to a new electric powertrain that Nissan says is optimised with intelligent energy management and battery thermal cooling, which may be standard here.

New Garda stats show rise in vehicle thefts

Vehicle thefts are on the rise, compared to pre-pandemic levels, according to new figures from An Garda Síochána.

The provisional crime figures for 2022 showed a rise in some major crimes throughout 2022 - but An Garda Síochána cautioned that comparisons between 2022 and 2021 “should continue to be considered in the context of Covid-19”.
