Galway Community College (GCC), GRETB welcomed another delegation of Erasmus+ students and teachers from schools in Croatia and Spain, to Galway city this week, for the final mobility of the endangered species and biodiversity project, a climate change research study in the European Union, that all three schools have been working on for the last year.

The Kumon maths and English programmes are designed to develop the student as a self-learner. A free assessment finds the ‘just right’ start point for each student in the programmes, which stretch from pre-school to university entry level.

Home EV charger grants now open to those without an electric car

A total of four new electric vehicle grant schemes and initiatives were launched recently by the Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan.

Among them is an expansion to the home charger grant which will enable any tenants and homeowners to apply for a grant, whether they own an EV or not. This can also be used for visitor use or at rented accommodation.

Heartstopper is a Netflix original TV series based on the graphic novel series by Alice Osman. Originally a webcomic on Tumblr and Tapas, volumes 1 and 2 of the books was published by Hachette Children’s Group in 2019. It’s a story of ‘boy meets boy, boys become friends, boys fall in love.’ Both the books and show demonstrate the feeling of first love, friendships, coming out, and mental health. One season of the show has been released, with seasons two and three confirmed by Netflix.
