THE COYOTE Factor 4 Next Generation competition returns and is looking for soloists, duets, or trios who think they can win the first prize of €10,000.
This year’s competition will have a new format including theme nights and a re-structured voting system. Heats will kick off in November and will run on Thursday nights.

THE 30TH anniversary of the founding of Salmon Poetry will be marked at the Over The Edge reading in the Galway City Library on Thursday October 27 at 6.30pm.
The readers will be Kevin Simmonds, Luke Morgan, and Salmon co-founder Jessie Lendennie. Salmon was established in Galway city in 1981 with the publication of The Salmon International Literary Journal.

The Arts Quiz takes place this Sunday at 8pm in the Galway Arms, Dominick Street. The questions all relate to different art forms and tables of four cost €20. Finger food will be provided. All proceeds go to the festival.
