Movember night @ Róisín Dubh

MOUSTACHES AND music will be the order of the day with the Movember Galway gig night in the Róisín Dubh this Monday from 8pm.

There will be music from four Irish bands: Kid Karate, the Dublin duo of vocalist/guitarist Kevin Breen and drummer Steven Gannon, whose sound mixes fuzzy blues, danceability, and aggression; Donegal/Derry quartet Mojo GoGo, described by Kerrang! as “one of the top live acts of 2011, Mojo GoGo are about to take over the world”; Galway indie-pop trio Young Kodiaks; and Kara Kara.

There will also be DJ sets with Confetti (Fuz and Byron Yeates ) and in the upstairs bar with Le Michael Galaxie and Folie a Deux.

There will be prizes up for grabs on the night, including tickets to Bell X1 in The Black box and to Connacht v Leinster on New Year’s Day.

Entry is €3 and the first 50 will receive a free pint from Galway Hooker. All proceeds go to Movember. Movember is a month of moustache growing in order to raise awareness of prostate cancer and raise funds for Action Prostrate Cancer and the Irish Cancer Society.
