Get ready to get merry, as the Great Irish Beer Festival is on its way back to Galway for the second year in a row. Beer lovers and connoisseurs will be excited to hear that the biggest beer festival in Ireland will be here for two days Saturday October 25 and Sunday 26th.
The Black Box Theatre is the venue for the festival and doors open at 3pm and close at 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets to the event cost €15, and you receive €3 back in 'Beer Bucks' drink tokens which can be used to purchase beer on the day (as no cash can be used to buy alcohol). Beer Bucks can be purchased in the venue.

Two men were given a slap on the wrist and a fine for noisily bush drinking near a residential area, while people were getting up for work, and for being old enough to know better.
Michael Burke (21) with an address at 16 Claremont Park, Rahoon, appeared at Galway District Court last Monday charged with being intoxicated in a public place on August 20, 2008. His co-accused, Colm McDonagh (22) with an address at 60 The Baily, Circular Road, Galway, and who was charged with the same offence, did not appear in court.
