Entries are now being accepted for the ‘Galway Shop Window of the Festival 2008’ as part of the 54th Galway International Oyster Festival.
The competition, run by Galway Chamber, will choose a winner based on the shop window which best captures the spirit of the Galway International Oyster Festival. The winning shop, picked by a panel of professional judges, will receive the Galway Chamber Perpetual Trophy, as well as a Fahy Travel voucher and two tickets for the marquee on Saturday. All competition entrants will receive two tickets for the Sunday marquee.
Judges will take into account originality, imagination, quality of construction, and humour. Judging of all entries will take place on Monday September 22 and all window displays should be left in place until the festival ends on September 29. This is an opportunity for all businesses in Galway to enter into the spirit of the Oyster Festival and make the 54th festival even more special.
