A temporary solution to gain access to Clarin College’s new facility from Athenry is expected to be in place by September of this year.
Construction work on the €20 million building is expected to conclude in March, however, there are fears the opening of the college could be delayed as the footbridge which was included in approved planning permission in March 2018, was omitted from the tendering contract process.

Tomi Reichental is a man who unfortunately has been through a lot in his life. As a nine-year-old boy he was imprisoned in the Bergen Belsen concentration camp. Tomi lost 35 members of his family during the Holocaust but never lost his ability to show empathy to others. Anne Frank was a fellow prisoner in Bergen Belsen but sadly she didn’t survive.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) is useless when it comes to dealing with flooding on national roads in the county, that is according to Galway county councillor Jim Cuddy.
The independent councillor’s comments come after motorists travelling from Tuam to Galway were involved in two hour traffic jams due to roads issues in Claregalway.
