Claddagh Credit Union were delighted to reintroduce the Credit Union Schools Quiz in person for the first time since January 2020. Thirty-two teams, (128 students) from a range of primary schools across the community, took place in the quiz in the Salthill Hotel, led by Quiz Master, Ronan Lardner of Galway Bay FM.
The teachers and parents were busy in the lead up to the event with lots of practice quizzes taking place in school and at home. Lisa Stewart of Claddagh Credit Union said “It is great to have the quiz back again. The excitement from the children tonight is sky high. I still hear adults talking about when they took part in the credit union schools quiz when they were children so we hope the quiz tonight will be a great experience for this year’s participants.”

Culture & Citizenship: Tomás Ó Máille was commissioned by the Department of Irish in the University of Galway and produced in partnership with the Royal Irish Academy and the National Library.
The exhibition will shed new light on the history of the Irish language and will deepen our understanding of its status nationally.
