Animated African adventure proves sequels can equal success

Home of the Shrek empire and this year’s hit film Kung Fu Panda (whose sequel is in the works), DreamWorks has once again managed to prove that there is hope for success in sequels with their newest venture Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the much anticipated follow-up to their 2005 smash hit.

HANDEL’S CELEBRATED Messiah will be performed by the Irish Baroque Orchestra and Resurgam in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Friday December 12 at 7.30pm.

The conductor will be Gary Cooper. Performers will include Katherine Manley (soprano), Christopher Ainslie (counter-tenor), James Oxley (tenor), and Martin Robson (bass). The Irish Baroque Orchestra and Resurgam are regarded as two of Ireland’s most dynamic young ensembles.
