EXERTS FROM the much loved ballet, the Nutcracker Suite, will be performed by Youth Ballet West as part of its new production in the Town Hall Theatre.
Nutcracker Suite and Divertissements will be performed in the Town Hall on Sunday December 14 at 3pm and 8pm.
Featuring traditional classical ballet, neo-classical, and contemporary work, the show will feature pieces from Nutcracker Suite and the new creation Ballet Egyptian, in which YBW hope to transport the audience to the world of Tutankhamen.
Dancers will also wear costumes specially commissioned from Moldova and Cairo. As well as YBW pupils, there will also be performances by Judith Sibley (Chrysalis Dance ) and Leighton Morrison (English National Ballet ).
Youth Ballet West is made up of 23 young dancers, chosen at audition from Galway, Limerick, and Longford. The ballet trains five times a week.
