A feast of world dance in Galway

THE DANCES of Asia, South America, and Europe will be performed at the second International Dance Festival Galway next month.

The festival, which was launched this week at NUI, Galway, will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday May 14 at 7.30pm. It has been organised by NUIG staff and the Sisters of La Retraite and it will raise funds for Special Olympics Ireland Connacht.

DAVID MCSAVAGE, the man behind RTÉ 2’s The Savage Eye will play the Comedy Club at Kudos in Oranmore returns on Bank Holiday Saturday April 23.

The Irish Times recently described McSavage as “the bravest, most fearless comic working in Ireland today” and David comes to Kudos hot on the heels of a sell-out run at Vicar Street. Support comes from Gerry Mallon and admission includes free entry to nightclub after the show.
