FANS OF jazz, blues, and lounge music have plenty to look forward to this weekend when two of the finest practitioners of such genres play Monroe’s Live.

Tomorrow at 9.30pm, Mary Coughlan will take to the stage. From her 1985 debut Tired and Emotional, to the recent The House of Ill Repute, described by Q as “a serious return to form”, Mary has delivered many memorable musical moments and is rightly regarded as the queen of Irish jazz and blues. After Mary’s gig, roots-rock/psychedelic band The Deans will take to the stage at midnight.
