ELEANOR SHANLEY, Declan O’Rourke, and Damien Dempsey are just a few of those who will be playing concerts on Inishbofin island over the next few weeks.
The concerts take place on Tuesdays in the Dolphin Hotel and begin at 9.30pm with singer Eleanor Shanley taking to the stage on July 26. She will be joined by singer/musician Frankie Lane and Paul Kelly on fiddle and mandolin.
Declan O’Rourke will play on August 2, performing songs from his new album Mag Pai Zai, as well as from his acclaimed debut Since Kyabram.
Inishbofin singer-songwriter and trad musician Peadar King, who has just released his new album, will take to the stage on Saturday 6. Folk singer-songwriter Don Stiffe plays on August 9. Damien Dempsey plays on August 16, where he will be joined by Sean Regan (guitar/fiddle ), and Sean McKeon (pipes ).
Rounding up the series of concerts will be a quartet of major trad talent on August 23 - Inishbofin singer Dessie O’Halloran, box player Oliver Diviney, fiddle player Nollaig Casey, and singer/guitarist Geraldine King.
