Galway's Fiona Murtagh was back on the water this week competing in the the memorial Paolo d’Aloja international regatta in Italy.
In Rowing Ireland's first outing since the Olympic Games and World Championships, Galway's Olympic bronze medalist was paired with Tokyo experienced reserve Tara Hanlon. The two took a silver medal in the women’s pair in the first of their events at the three-day meet and followed up with a gold on Sunday.

The 23-5 scoreline in favour of the Irish was the most one-sided result in the history of the competition between the two countries since it began in 2014.
