NUIG Maree suffered a 93-79 loss to Garvey’s Tralee Warriors in their latest Superleague encounter at the weekend.
NUIG had kept pace with the Tralee outfit and were level on 21 points at the end of the first quarter, but their opponents had pulled clear by half time, establishing a 10-point lead.
Ronalds Elksnis racked up 24 points for Garvey’s Tralee Warriors, helped by Aaron Calixte (22 ) and Nikola Rosa (15 ), while Deondre Jackson (25 ) was the stand-out performer for NUIG Maree, with Lovre Tvrdic shooting 13, an Jeryn Lucas 10.
In the MissQuote.ie division one NUIG Mystics travel to Thurles to face Tipperary Knights Mystics in the Presentation Secondary School on Sunday (3pm ).
They will be determined to overcome last weekend's loss to Portlaoise Panthers - only their second of this season's Southern Conference campaign.
They still lead the conference, but know they need to maintain their winning form to top this group, having fallen to 80-70 to the Portlaoise outfit last weekend.

In the InsureMyVan.ie division on e, Titans suffered a 53-117 loss to Grand Hotel Malahide Ballinfoile Centre.
It was another tough outing for the Galway side against the Dubliners who have won seven of their 12 outings to date. By half time Titans had fallen behind by 26-62 despite the best scoring efforts of Anthony Ezeonu 18, Joseph Coughlan 9, and Jackson Soper 7.
