WEEE Ireland, the Irish compliance scheme for electrical and battery recycling, is holding a series of WEEE collection events throughout Galway. These collection days, supported by Galway County Council, will allow people from towns and villages across the county to get rid of any household electrical equipment and batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

The third Connacht Property Auction of 2014 was held on September 18 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. The auction team noted strong interest in the lead up to the auction and indeed most of the properties on offer were successfully sold. Interestingly there were in excess of 300 recorded viewings on the various properties in the lead up to the auction which shows the pick-up in demand for properties.
