WEEE Ireland, the Irish compliance scheme for electrical and battery recycling, is holding a series of WEEE collection events throughout Galway. These collection days, supported by Galway County Council, will allow people from towns and villages across the county to get rid of any household electrical equipment and batteries in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
WEEE events are scheduled for the following locations in Galway:
Oct 2 – St Colman’s Parish Church Car Park, Kinvara, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Oct 7 – Village Centre, Abbey, Co Galway, 10am – 1pm
Oct 7 – GAA Pitch, Woodford, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Oct 9 – GAA Pitch, Kiltormer, Co Galway, 10am – 1pm
Oct 9 – The Square, Eyrecourt, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Oct 14 – GAA Pitch, Williamstown, Co Galway, 10am – 1pm
Oct 14 – Supervalu Car Park, Glenamaddy, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Oct 16 – McDonagh’s Supermarket Car Park, Cill Chiarain, Connemara, Co Galway, 10am – 1pm
Oct 16 – GAA Pitch Car Park, Ros Muc, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Oct 21 – Cashla Industrial Estate, Doire an Fheich, Cashla, Co Galway, 10am – 7pm
Oct 23 – GAA Pitch, Colaiste Chonnacht, An Spideal, Co Galway, 10am – 1pm
Oct 23 – SuperValu Car Park, Bearna, Co Galway, 4pm – 7pm
Anything in the home with a battery or a plug can be recycled at these collections. Waste collection specialists from WEEE Ireland will be there on the day to help you send your toasters, vacuum cleaners, fridges and every other electrical item imaginable to a better place.
