Join the Hallowe’en parade through Shop Street

Colours Street Theatre Company is putting on a short Hallowe’en parade through Shop Street on Saturday October 31 at 8pm.

The parade will display tall puppets, performers, cyclists, and drummers. Those interested in participating can go along on the night dressed up in costume. Bicycle enthusiasts are welcome to light up their bike and join the parade in support of better cycling conditions in Galway.

Hallowe’en family coffee morning

Get your Hallowe’en outfit ready because on Saturday a family coffee morning is being held in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe from 10am to 1pm. The coffee morning, now in its second year, is run by the Stargazer Lily Foundation in aid of Galway Hospice, Portiuncula Patient Comfort fund, and Cancer Research Ireland. The foundation is run by local people from the community of Ballinasloe and is fully sponsored by the Carlton Shearwater, Kraft, and Kelly print works.The foundation has raised over €25,000 for the above charities and with your help can do much more. The morning promises not only coffee but a range of activities for children, from best dressed costume to a Hallowe’en colouring competition.
