On Christmas Day, at 2.30pm, a sung traditional Latin Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, the Claddagh, Galway. Since New Year’s Day 2012, the priests of the Institute of Christ the King have offered a weekly Sunday Mass in the Dominican Church at 2.30.

The Institute of Christ the King, which was founded in 1990, has been growing steadily throughout the world, attracting many vocations to the priesthood.

After 2 and a half months out of action the Tiny Traders Village made a return last weekend in what Traders and customers were calling it's "best venue yet". The Tiny Traders Christmas Gift Fair which took place on Saturday and Sunday in the downstairs room of Tribeton on Merchant's Road attracted good crowds over both days as it showcased approximately 35 local Artists, Crafters, Makers, Jewellers, Designers, and more and the organizations Director Paul David Murphy said that the reaction from customers and even Traders to the new venue and the standard of products on offer was remarkable and it was frequently said that it is probably the best version of the much loved local market yet as the venue is "tailor made" for it.
