Claddagh Credit Union were delighted to support local again by making a donation to the Galway Hooker Sailing Club for their recent trip to the Netherlands with Loveen, a 98 year old Galway Hooker.

The Loveen and crew took part in Nawaka, the National Water Camp Festival based near Zeewolde. The crew from the Galway Hooker Sailing Club joined 27 scouts and 10 leaders from the Port of Galway Sea Scouts who represented Ireland at this event.

The planning application for the Galway Cross-City Link has been submitted by the National Transport Authority (NTA). This scheme will provide for a new bus priority corridor through Galway City Centre, connecting the west and the east of the city from University Road to the Dublin Road. It sets the foundation for the delivery of the overall Galway BusConnects programme and it is a key aspect of the Galway Transport Strategy 2016-2036.
