Galway Public Libraries to hold free events for Irish Astronomy Week

March 9-16 is Irish Astronomy Week and Galway Public Libraries will have a number of talks taking place in the city and county to mark the occasion. All events are free of charge and open to the public, but booking is recommended.

Saturday 9 March at 11:00am, Tuam Library will have a space-themed storytime. There will be astronomy-themed colouring sheets and wordsearches available, as well as astronomy book displays in both the children’s and adult’s Library. Younger members will be encouraged tobuild a spaceship from Lego in the library and pictures of the bestspace ships will be put on social media.
