Training for women with an interest in politics starting next week

Women for Election, the non-partisan, independent organisation that has trained women to stand for election since 2012, is calling on women across Galway to sign up for its next INSPIRE Campaign School, which starts on-line on Wednesday, September 29.

Currently 37 of 160 TDs are women. Across the two constituencies in Galway there were nine Dáil seats available and four women were elected, one in Galway East and three in Galway West.

The Community Detox Project established in 2019 has worked with 40 people to help them to reduce their drug use safely. The September sun was shining, and a band of us packed into the back of a mate’s car were winging our way to a new city and new life.
