Kia cee’d tops C-segment in Driver Power survey

One of the most significant results in Driver Power’s history is that of the Kia cee’d, according to David Johns, editor-in-chief of Auto Express.

On its debut performance in the independent Driver Power survey, the cee’d beat the Volkswagen Golf and claimed the highest rank in the C-segment, jumped straight into the top 10, and is ranked as the sixth best model overall. Its closest rival, the Volkswagen Golf, was way below in 22nd place.

Ford on top of sales chart after six months

As car sales figures are set to fall to their lowest levels in more than 20 years, Ford has strengthened its market position, claiming 14.5 per cent of a market which is down 62 per cent from last year.

Buoyed by sales of Focus and the new Fiesta, the blue oval finished the half year with 6,808 units, ahead of Toyota (6,482) and Volkswagen (4,529).
