Every now and then a car that offers a different perspective comes along. The new Peugeot 3008 Crossover is the latest example. Peugeot place it at a crossroads among an SUV, an MPV, and a hatchback, which probably is not too far off the mark. Yet, that does not even paint the full picture. You see, if you or I were to picture our favourite model in each of those segments and try to roll them into one vehicle, I bet we couldn't, and that why this new car is more than a crossover.

Ford Fiesta steals Europe's top spot in March

For the first time in a year, the hugely popular Volkswagen Golf has lost its stranglehold as Europe’s most popular model, handing the accolade to Ford’s well received new Fiesta. The Golf is still number one in the year-to-date (first quarter).

The Fiesta’s success is set against an overall European new car market which fell nine per cent in March 2009 compared to March 2008. Year-to-date the market fell 16.9 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Second-hand airbags could cost you your life

Motorists trying to save money buying second-hand airbags online could end up paying a much higher price, a new investigation warns. Leading accident management company, Accident Exchange, says the growing trade on auction sites like eBay, is a potentially ‘life and death’ issue and the Government needs to act.

The unregulated nature of the marketplace means the second-hand airbags being sold could be defective or inoperable, without the buyer’s or even the seller’s knowledge. The end result could be fatal if the airbag fails to deploy in an accident.
