New Jaguar XKR and XFR make their debuts

Jaguar is showcasing the new XFR and XKR at this week’s London Motorexpo.

This bespoke motor show promises to attract more than 350,000 visitors and Jaguar will also display the recently launched XF Diesel S – What Diesel magazine's 'Best Executive Car' for 2009 - featuring a high performance, 3.0-litre diesel engine.

This new car is 1.8 seconds quicker than the outgoing 2.7-litre it replaces, while producing 10 per cent less CO2 with an improved average fuel consumption of 42.0mpg – a 12 per cent improvement.

The new XFR is powered by the new supercharged 5.0-litre which reaches 60mph from standstill in just 4.7 seconds. Distinguished by a unique exterior and interior, this ultimate sports saloon delivers a massive 510 horsepower and has active differential control and adaptive dynamics suspension to make sure the driver can use it.

The new XKR features a 5.0-litre supercharged engine propelling it to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds. The XK features a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated engine delivering 385PS and 515Nm of torque propelling it to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds.

With interior enhancements, advanced lightweight aluminium body structure and a wider range of models, the new XKR builds on 60 years of legendary performance to deliver the best of everything Jaguar.

The XF has won more than 20 international accolades since its launch, including What Car? 'Car of the Year', Auto Express 'Car of the Year', and Top Gear 'Limo of the Year'. More recently, the XF was voted 'Britain's Best Car' in the Auto Express Driver Power Survey for 2009 which recognised the combination of luxury, comfort, and driving dynamics for the owner.

When first launched in 2006, the XK was voted Top Gear's 'Car of the Year', and since then both the XK and XKR have picked up a number of significant accolades, including What Car? magazine's 'Best Coupe' for 2008.
