This psychological thriller from Martin Scorsese had so much potential, with its twists and turns, blurring the lines between sanity and insanity, and almost cruelly pushing the protagonist on further in his quest to find out the truth, but the film just took too long to get to the point and felt rushed at the end, leaving us feeling disappointed to have gone on the journey in the first place.

See The Bolshoi Ballet live from the Eye

THE BOLSHOI Ballet’s production of The Flames of Paris will be screened on live broadcast from Moscow in The Eye Cinema on Wednesday at 7pm.

The Flames of Paris was first presented in the Bolshoi Theatre in 1933. It is set during the French Revolution and features more than 130 dancers on stage. It is directed by Alexei Ratmanski.

THE PATRICIAN Musical Society’s production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, held last week in the Town Hall Theatre, was a feast of colour, fun, and wonderful songs.

From the moment the curtain rose on a marvellous 19th century style Japanese set, with a cast of bowler hatted men marching while singing ‘If You Want To Know Who We Are’, you knew you were in for a great night’s entertainment.
