Scot Project to unleash trance madness

A NIGHT of musical mayhem with unrelenting trance and hard trance madness awaits Galway when trance DJ legend Scot Project returns to the GPO on Bank Holiday Sunday.

Project, real name Frank Zenker, has remained one of the world’s most popular and in-demand DJs since exploding onto the DJing and production scene 16 years ago.

His DJing career kicked off at 13 when he landed gigs playing break-beat in his local youth club. Two years later the acid house movement gripped the youngster and he was hooked on electronic music for life.

Still only 17, Project gained residencies in numerous clubs in and around Frankfurt and after investing in a small studio his whirlwind rollercoaster ride to world stardom began.

Productions like ‘O - Overdrive’, ‘U - I Got A Feeling’ and his remix of ‘Hands Up’ catapulted the German to the forefront of electronic music, leading to invitations to play Trance Energy, Global Gathering, Planetlove, and Homelands. He now has two albums under his belt and an array of remix work under his Scot Project name and Arome and Tocs aliases.

Planetlove presents Scot Project at the GPO. Doors open at 10pm and admission is €15. Support is from Michael Doherty and Damo Kay. For more information see www.planetlovemusic.com and tune into Michael Doherty’s i102104 radio show every Saturday night.
