FROM DOORS’ cover bands to original acts like Disconnect 4 and Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club, Monroe’s Live has plenty of good gigs to offer music fans over the coming weeks.
Doors fans are in for a treat tomorrow night when Na Doirse, the Irish tribute band to The Doors plays (see www.nadoirse.com ), followed by cover band Escapade on Saturday.
Also coming to Monroe’s are Aslan on Thursday May 27 at 11pm. Guitarist Billy McGuinness is looking forward to returning to Galway. “If it’s anything like the last gig at Monroe’s Live, it will be brilliant,” he said. “We were really amazed at the atmosphere there, it’s a lovely venue.”
The band are working on their new album and will be playing some new material at the gig in Monroe’s. Tickets for the gig are available from Monroe’s and Zhivago Records.
Other gigs to note are the Galway Hospice Charity Night featuring Disconnect 4, Disconauts, and Emmet Scanlan on Thursday May 20 and Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club in June.
