Rehearsals are currently well underway in Druid for their forthcoming production of Sean O’Casey’s powerful anti-war play The Silver Tassie, which opens at the Town Hall on August 23rd.

Johnny Duhan’s eagerly awaited new album, The Burning Wood, is due to be released on August 15. Johnny’s songs have been covered by the likes of Ronnie Drew, Christy Moore, The Dubliners and Mary Black.

The much loved Drew once described Duhan as one of his favourite songwriters. Journalist John Waters describes the new album as, “truly a beautiful piece of work”. Duhan has very much the gift of the storyteller and his songs resemble a beautifully written aural short story which grabs the attention of the listener in the most eloquent of ways.
