RTÉ Nuacht relocates to Connemara

The entire team of RTÉ Nuacht celebrated its relocation from Donnybrook to the TG4 studios in Baile na hAbhann, following a significant investment into revamping the TG4 headquarters. A total of 42 staff are involved in the relocation with three new positions created. The Irish language news programme will now benefit from a more extensive schedule and an increased amount of air-time.

The creative signage company has already attracted a wide range of clients from all over the West. Even at this early stage Signwest’s management team is already considering expansion as a result of the positive response they have had so far.
A joint venture for graphic designer Declan Foley, and sign maker and fitter, Myles Brewer, Signwest is a natural merging of skills and experience. Both men already run successful businesses, (Designwest in Kiltimagh, and Kernow Signs in Charlestown, respectively), and saw the need for innovative, cost-effective signage solutions from a reliable local supplier.

The Hotel School at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) is offering a new three-year degree in Hotel and Catering Management aimed at people working in the hospitality, catering and tourism industry who wish to upskill and earn a management degree while working.
Referred to as the “block degree”, the Bachelor of Business in Hotel and Catering Management has been re-structured to run over three years as opposed to four. It will be delivered over four blocks of study with two seven-month work placement experiences.
