Bell X1 to headline arts festival Big Top

First show of the Galway International Arts Festival 2016 announced

BELL X1 will headline the Absolut Festival Big Top on Saturday 16 July 2016 for a 'Galway International Arts Festival and Róisín Dubh presents...' concert, with tickets going on sale tomorrow.

Following a hugely successful 2015 that included a sell-out acoustic tour of Ireland, and playing support to Ed Sheeran at Croke Park in July, Bell X1 returned to the studio to record their seventh album which is scheduled for release next year. The new album will be the first since 2013’s much acclaimed Chop Chop, their third No 1 album and their fourth consecutive album to be nominated for a Choice Music Prize.

Since forming in 2000, the Dubliners ombination of electronic music and anthemic pop rock, have become one of Ireland’s most popular bands, second only to U2 in terms of radio play and, according to Billboard, the second biggest live performers. Bell X1 last played the Festival in 2011.

Tickets priced at €35 go on sale at giaf.ie and roisindubh.net on Friday December 11 at 9am. The 2016 GIAF runs from July 11 to 24. See www.giaf.ie
