A world of dance comes to Galway

DANCE STYLES from Argentina, India, Mexico, Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, and Ireland will be performed at the second International Dance Festival Galway next month.

The festival takes place in the Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday May 14 at 7.30pm. It has been organised by NUIG staff and the Sisters of La Retraite and will raise funds for Special Olympics Ireland Connacht.

Stained glass workshop

The Painter’s Palette Gallery and Studio in Moycullen will host a one-day stained glass course with stained glass artist Deirdre Cairns.

The class will take place on Saturday May 14 from 9am to 5.30pm. Students will learn basic design, glass cutting, leading, cementing, hanging, and displaying of the work. All materials and a light lunch are included in the price of €95.
