Galway Music Education Partnership launches bid for music generation funds

Galway Music Education Partnership (Galway MEP) has formally launched its bid to secure Music Generation Funds for the development of music education in Galway City and County. Funded by U2 and the Ireland Funds, Music Generation is Ireland’s National Music Education Programme which aims to help children and young people access performance music education (vocal and instrumental) in their own locality.

The JE Cairnes School of Business and Economics at NUI Galway will host a three day intensive course next week entitled Topics in Microeconometrics. The conference will run from 1 to 3 June in Áras Moyola, NUI Galway.
The keynote speaker for the event is Professor William Greene, Professor of Economics and Toyota Motor Corp Professor, the Stern School of Business at New York University. Professor Greene's work is at the forefront of knowledge in this field.

Galway perfumer Cloon Keen Atelier has been selected as the supplier of perfumed soaps, lotions, toiletries, and diffusers to Dublin Castle for the Royal Visit and State Banquet which commenced yesterday.
It is supplying a very special fragrance that it hasbeen developing with their perfumers for the past two years, which will not be available in in their boutique until early June, says Maggie Mangan, creative director of Cloon Keen Atelier.
