Rodney Owl - two Galway gigs

Gigs at The Quays and Black Gate Cultural Centre

RODNEY CROWELL is a Grammy award winning Texan country music singer-songwriter, but Rodney Owl is an entirely different proposition altogether as Galway will see at two gigs this month.

Rodney Owl - the stage name of singer-songwriter Mark McConville - plays The Quays on Tuesday July 25 as part of the Galway Fringe Festival; and in the Black Gate Cultural Centre on Wednesday 26 at 9.30pm.

For these shows, McConville (vocals/guitar ) will be joined by Niall Teague, (keyboards, accordion, vocals ), Juliana Erkkonen (violin ), and Jenny Groarke (vocals ). McConville, as Rodney Owl released his debut album Woe, an eclectic mix of rock, folk, jazz, and string quartet compositions, last year.
