Two exciting shows coming up at An Taibhdhearc

Irish singer and guitarist Síomha dances the line between folk, jazz and neo-soul effortlessly taking audiences on an unforgettable journey with her soulful melodies. Her debut album Infinite Space – described by The Irish Times as “a seriously accomplished and self-confident debut”. Her moving album is a collection of songs in both Irish and English.

Presented by the Black Gate, Síomha will play An Taibhdhearc this Friday April 7 at 7.30pm.

Rodney Owl, (aka Mark McConville ) is a Galway-based songwriter, originally from Lurgan, Armagh. With influences like Aldous Harding, Lumen Drones, Velvet Underground, The Smiths and Sly & The Family Stone, his songs are evocative yet elusive — filled with abstract lyricism and musical dynamism. Defining his music as Electric Folk — it is in turn breathless, immersive, thought-provoking, quirky and whimsical…sometimes all at once.

Rodney Owl will launch his album, Truth is Broken, on the Black Gate Label in An Taibhdhearc on Thursday, April 13 at 8pm.
